The Red Door Café Story
It's been a wild and crazy journey! Characters included a mother/daughter/granddaughter team that had a hobby of looking at empty store spaces, were accumulating a massive pile of furniture, art, jewelry, antiques and home décor, and refinishing furniture without the slightest intention of going into business. None of us, including our husbands, thought it was weird.
Then we found the perfect spot and before we could turn around twice we were in business. People brought us things to sell and we sold our own items. Before long we were bursting at the seams and moved to a whopping big space. By then we were hungry and, since we had owned a restaurant in Alaska, we thought, heck!, let's open a café!
So, here we are, nearly eight years later, The store has since been closed but the cafe is keeping us busy. And we have a second site at Samaritan Clinic on Pioneer Drive.
The Boorman and Thacker families invite you to join us at Red Door!
